For this new group of prints, Ms. Kindregan takes certain liberties with the Classical Greek Myths. Deities, creatures, and nymphs mingle in images of everyday ancient life, some true to mythology, and some placed in modern context.

Amanda Kindregan is a painter and printmaker with a BFA in Painting from the University of Washington (1995). Her preferred mediums are linoleum and vinyl block printing, and painting with gouache on paper. Her influences come from the past: Picasso and Warhol for their paintings and prints, but especially for their lovely line drawings; and by mid-century illustrators including Mary Blair and Hilary Knight. Ms. Kindregan lives in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley with her husband and two daughters.

Damon Johnson’s work has been described as urban surrealism, a melting pot of influences and art movements. His work combines pop culture references to graffiti, comics, tattoo art and skate graphics with traditional art movements including abstract expressionism, op-art and surrealism. You can find some of his paintings in the permanent collection of the Patterson, Hamilton, and Chelsea Art Museums.

Johnson found over time that he wanted his art to be more accessible and has begun working on a new format... clothing. The term wearable art gets passed around quite a bit, but with Johnson's line Royal Crush, it really holds true. Every symbol is a recurring image in his paintings each representing a different time in his life.

a cap for the fisherman's head
a cup for the cobblers feast
across to cary whenever the sun can reach
our feet rest at the bottom of the deep
our children ride the backs of paddlefish
in our sighs you can see
where the mouth meets the sea
so old man river can stir up eternity
and starfish keep the secret
and every way it is excreted
in the six bosom's of the wale
penetrating the volcanoes tare
her ships cannons announce the vale
put it to our lips on a spoon
in our veins
soak our hands
on our tongue
in the nose
just push it threw every possible hole
and sip a simple song and dance across the bridge of desire
